Variety of Background Stamps Combined to Make Card

Background stamps, “Flower Word Background”; “Musical Notes Background #2”; “Swirls & Dots Background” and “Starburst Background” were stamped on a variety of colors of card stock and embossed with a variety of colors of embossing powders, then cut into strips about 1″ wide and glued to white card stock. This piece was layered on purple deckle edged background card stock. “Smile! and the whole world…” was stamped on off white card stock with black ink, cut out, glued to rectangles of yellow and navy blue deckle edged card stock. then glued to the background of “strips.” Card by Davetta Alexander.

Manfred Mantis with Electric Guitar, Lg.

“Manfred with Electric Guitar, Lg.” was stamped in black Memories on green card stock, cut out and glued to “Musical Notes” which was stamped on off white card stock by inking with markers and trimming with deckle scissors. This was glued to “Musical Notes Background #2” which was stamped in black on off-white card stock and embellished with the “direct to paper technique” using purple and red pads, then trimmed with deckle scissors. These pieces were glued to “Starburst Background” which was embossed in red on off white card stock and layered on purple card stock. “Easel” and “You’re a Star!” were stamped on shrink plastic, colored with oil color pencils, shrunk, glued to each other and mounted on the right corner of the card. Starburst Background with Love Stamps Accent

“Love” is gold embossed three times on a rectangular piece of kaleidoscope confetti card stock which has been edged with a gold Krylon Leafing pen. “Bold Block – Love Hand” is gold embossed on black card stock, cut out and placed on a second rectangular piece of kaleidoscope confetti card stock which has also been edged with gold and the “Love” stamp embossed in gold. These two pieces are layered over a black piece of card stock which has been embossed in gold using “Starburst Background.” Gold glitter glue is applied in the center of each star, on the fingernails of the hand, at the base of the heart, and in the corners of the Love Hand image. The black card is edged with gold and layered over four layers of card stock in the following order: (1) white, (2) gold, (3) ivory and (4) rust. Card by Margaret Wiggin.
