Old Saddle

“Old Saddle” is stamped with black Memories on white card stock and colored with several shades of tan colored pencils. This piece is trimmed with decorative scissors and layered on crimped tan card stock. That piece is layered on scrapbook paper, dark green card stock, tan card stock and dark grey card stock. Card is by Mary Connaway who, also, drew the saddle.

Early California Saddle

“Early California Saddle” is stamped with black Memories on white card stock and colored with silver and grey pencils. The white card stock is trimmed with deckle scissors and layered on silver scrapbook paper, blue card stock and yellow card stock. Card is by Mary Connaway who, also, drew the saddle.

Cowboy, Boots, Hat, Saddle

To give the shadow stamping technique appearance, deckle edge scissors were used to cut rectangles from card stock which had been colored with light colored pencils. The rectangles were then stamped and mounted on turquoise granite card stock. Sections of some of the images were colored with pencils. The granite card stock was edged with a copper Krylon Leafing pen and layered onto tan card stock. Stamps used were “Cowboy”, “Pair Boots”, “Western Hat”, “Saddle, Sm.”, “How ya been?” and “Whatcha’ doin’?” Card by Mary Hansen.

Sailing with Border & 3-D Seashell Background

“Sailing with Border” is stamped on grey card stock with Brilliance Mediterranean Blue ink and colored with oil color pencils. It is trimmed with deckle scissors and layered over a deckle cut piece of metallic blue card stock. This is layered onto background card stock which was created by randomly stamping “Starfish #1” in Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue ink and “Sand Dollar” in Mediterranean Blue. This was layered on an 8 1/2″ x 11″ Dark blue Confetti card stock folded in half. As a last step, several other “Starfish” and “Sand Dollars” were stamped on grey card stock, cut out and mounted with cushion on the card randomly being placed where they would overlap borders. Fisherman in Stream with Navy Blue Background

“Fisherman in Stream, Sm.” was stamped with black Memories ink on Ivory card stock, cut out and mounted on Navy Blue Confetti card stock that had been trimmed with decorative scissors and stamped with “Too Much Fun!”(Discontinued; email for availability), “Caterpillar” and “Caddis.” This is layered on ivory and rust card stock. Colored with pencils and markers.  Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Zuni Pots, Cactus & Southwest Mountains

“Narrow Butte, Sm.” and “Kneeling Nun, Sm.” (retired stamp, email for availability) were stamped on cinnamon colored card stock and colored with chalks. The sky was chalked also and the card was sprayed with a sealer. “Prickly Pear, Med.” was stamped three times on glossy white card stock, colored with pencils, cut out and mounted with double stick tape at three levels so as to be in front of the Kneeling Nun stamp giving depth perception. On brown card stock, two “Zuni Pot, Lg.” and two “Zuni Pot, Sm.” are stamped and embossed with Desert Sand embossing powder, cut out and mounted on foam dots at the lower part of the card. The card is cut with deckle scissors and layered on yellow card stock cut with deckle scissors, then layered on black card stock. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Prospector with His Burro & Tools

“Prospector”, “Birch Grove” and “Leafy Plant” were stamped with black memories on white card stock and colored with watercolor markers. The birds and part of the water were drawn. It was then layered on black card stock that had been trimmed with decorative scissors. the final layer was on lavender card stock. Card by Danielle Côté.

Fireworks Background with USA Flag Furling

“USA Flag Furling, Sm.” is stamped with Rocket Red Brillance on one piece of glossy white card stock, then another piece of glossy white card stock is stamped with Mediterranean Blue Brillance. the “stars” part of the flag is cut out and layered on the red flag. The red piece is trimmed closely and layered on glossy white and glossy red card stock. “Reach for the stars” is stamped using a Rocket Red Brilliance pad and is masked while “Fireworks” is stamped with a Pearl Ex Metallic Gold stamp pad and embossed in gold on a deckle edged white card stock. This piece is layered on a red glossy card. The flag piece is mounted on the card as shown. Card by Margaret Wiggin.
