Boot on Cork with Feather Accent

“Cowboy Boot” is stamped with black Memories on a thin sheet of cork and colored with oil color pencils. Feathers are secured under the top and bottom of the cork piece when it is glued to a piece of tan suede leather which is glued to tan card stock. Card by Davetta Alexander.

Mimbreno Deer Hunter with Accent Stamps

“Mimbreno Deer Hunter” was embossed in gold on white card stock. A background was created by stamping in gold on purple card stock with “Sunburst, Sm.”, “Anasazi Dragonfly #2, Sm.”, “Return Symbol, Sm.”, “Mimbreno Dog #1″(Discontinued), and “Zuni Thunderstorm.” A strip of homemade paper was glued to the middle of the background piece and two feathers with yarn were glued to the band. The deer hunter was layered on gold card stock and glued to the strip and the background. This entire piece was layered on gold card stock and a purple card. Card by Judy Conklin.

Buffalo, Sm. is Stamped on Shield

“Shield” is stamped on a deckle edge trimmed rectangular piece of ivory card stock in black Memories. On ivory card stock, another “Shield” is stamped in med brown, cut out and glued on top of the first shield. Five real feathers are glued to the bottom of the shield. “Buffalo, Sm.” is stamped in medium brown in the center of the shield. Navajo Design with Feather Embellishment

“Navajo Design” was embossed in copper on black card stock, cut out and a feather was inserted into the center of the design. The Navajo design and the feather were mounted over a strip of copper crinkle paper which was glued on black textured paper and layered over rust confetti cover. Card by Pam Brown.

Four Navajo Blankets & Navajo Design

“Navajo Design”, “Navajo Blanket #1”, “Navajo Blanket #3”, “Navajo Blanket #8”, and “Navajo Blanket #7” were embossed with copper embossing powder on black card stock and cut out. One image was stamped with “Navajo blanket #1” on confetti kaleidoscope card stock with black memories ink. The confetti card stock was then layered on black card stock. A feather was placed in the center of the Navajo Design and all cut-outs were glued on the confetti card stock and some placed so as to overlap each other and to overlap the black background layer, also. Navajo Design and Hopi Kachina

“Navajo Design” is stamped with tinted top boss embossing powder and embossed with a rust embossing powder on white card stock, then colored with markers and cut out. The center of the design is cut out and placed over a stamped and colored head of “Hopi Kachina #1, Sm.” The Hopi Kachina is then stamped, colored , cut out and placed with mounting tape in the lower right corner of the card after the card is layered with black linen card stock trimmed with deckle scissors and cocoa colored card stock. Feathers are placed in the top left corner under the Navajo design. This card, made jointly by Pamela Hewitt and Margaret Wiggin, was one of those cards that took all evening to make and was so-o-o much fun to do!

Three Zuni Pots with Real Feathers

“Zuni Pot, Lg.” is stamped with a clear embossing pad on burgundy, tan and white card stock, embossed with Adirondack Embossing powders which are richly pigmented. Scrapbook paper is glued to burgundy card stock and the pots are cut out and glued to it with the feathers inserted into the top of the pots and glued behind them so as to appear to be in the pots.
