“Cowboy” is stamped with brown ink and colored with pencils on a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card. The Cowboy is then masked and “Frame #9, Oval Rope” is stamped on the card as shown. Notch a half circle in the front edge of the card. Pierce a hole through the center of the card. Punch circle above the pierced hole. Using a brad, attach a 4″ champagne parchment card stock circle that has been trimmed with scallop edge scissors. Stamp “Pair Boots”, “Chaps”, “Western Hat” and “Saddle, Sm.” through window, rotating the wheel each time a new image is stamped. Card by Rebecca Johnson. “Old Saddle” is stamped with black Memories on white card stock and colored with several shades of tan colored pencils. This piece is trimmed with decorative scissors and layered on crimped tan card stock. That piece is layered on scrapbook paper, dark green card stock, tan card stock and dark grey card stock. Card is by Mary Connaway who, also, drew the saddle.
“Western Saddle” is stamped with black Memories on white card stock and colored with grey and tan colored pencils. The white card stock is layered on black suede leather which is layered on white card stock that has a black box drawn near the outside edge and has been edged with a silver Krylon Leafing pen. The final layer is grey/blue card stock. Card is by Mary Connaway who, also, drew the saddle.
“Early California Saddle” is stamped with black Memories on white card stock and colored with silver and grey pencils. The white card stock is trimmed with deckle scissors and layered on silver scrapbook paper, blue card stock and yellow card stock. Card is by Mary Connaway who, also, drew the saddle.
“Bold Block – Fisherperson”, “Bold Block – Sail Boat”, “Bold Block – Heron”, “Bold Block – Fishing Fly” and “Bold Block – Hummingbird” are stamped on five different colors of Bazzill card stock, cut out and adhered to white card stock. The black and white strip on the left is May Arts ribbon glued to the card. The word, “Summer” is made with alphabet stickers by Creative Imaginations. Three coordinating colored punched circles are adhered below the word, “Summer”. Card by Danielle Côté.
“Frame #7, Barbed Wire” and the letters, “HOWDY” from “Log Alphabet, Lg.” were stamped in black Memories on paper that was created on brown card stock using two different colored stamp pads directly to the card stock and spritzing it with water so it would bleed some. “Cowboy Boot” was stamped on “Almost Leather” and a couple of colors from “Rub-ons” were rubbed over the boot. Stamps embossed in gold on dark green confetti card are “Spinner”, and “Creel, Sm.” which is edged with a gold Krylon Leafing pen. “Bold Block – Cabin”, “Bold Block – Fisherperson” and “Bold Block – Fishing Fly” are stamped in light brown on ivory card stock, cut out and mounted on the dark green confetti card stock. “Cowboy Boot” is stamped with black Memories on a thin sheet of cork and colored with oil color pencils. Feathers are secured under the top and bottom of the cork piece when it is glued to a piece of tan suede leather which is glued to tan card stock. Card by Davetta Alexander.
