SEPT/OCT 2023 NEWSLETTER – BROWNIES

I’m happy to announce that my grandson, Jesse, and two of his children, made a trip to California in September and brought my vulcanizer back. The next step will be to purchase raw rubber and restock Stamp Galore’s inventory. I’m concentrating on the line of Brownies with the goal of every one of the 170 designs being available as mounted, cling, or just rubber. When all stock is 100% available, I’ll make an announcement in NEWS on this site. The card that I’m displaying in this Sept./Oct. newsletter uses nine different Brownie stamps. They are 0540-F, Two Trees with Birds; 0544-D. Medium Tree; 0819-F, Hold That Rope!; 0814-A, Ready, Aim, Fire, Smoke; 05450-D, Rocks & Ground; 0524-E, Shrubs/Clouds; 0811-H, Fun with a Burro; 0174-C, Weed Patch; and 0544-K, Tall Brownie Grove. Stamps drawn by my mother, Marge Busby, and used in this card are 0705-F, Rocky Ground, and 0715, Rocks & Grass.

Vellum Celestial Bunny

“Bold Block – Celestial Bunny” was stamped in blue on vellum and trimmed with deckle scissors leaving enough vellum on both sides so that eyelets could be used to attach the vellum to the card. Strips of three different blue card stock were attached with glue, then the vellum cut-out was secured with eyelets. The saying, “Take time to enjoy the special things in life” was computer generated, trimmed with decorative scissors and layered over a blue piece of card stock cut just a little larger. The edge of the white card stock was edged with a blue marker and layered on dark blue card stock. Card by Judy Conklin.

Shadow Stamping with Celestial Bunny

A shadow stamp is stamped 5 times on navy blue card stock using a Versamark stamp pad. “Bold Block – Celestial Bunny” is stamped and embossed in crystal white near, but not on top of the Versamark images. “Happy Birthday!” is embossed in white at the top and bottom of the card which is layered on white card stock. Happy Birthday, Moon, Stars & Celestial Bunny

“Bold Block – Celestial Bunny” and “Happy Birthday!” are embossed in white on Burgundy card stock. “Solid Single Star” is stamped twice with a VersaMark pad on the burgundy card stock and cut out. The moon images are drawn by hand and cut out. The “Bold Block – Celestial Bunny” images are cut in fourths and mounted with foam tape with a space between each fourth to give the tile effect. The star and moon cut-outs are also mounted on foam. The corrugated card stock is layered on burgundy card stock and light brown card stock. “Happy Birthday!” is attached to the light brown card stock. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Follow Your Dreams

“Bold Block – Celestial Bunny” was embossed in silver on black card stock and trimmed closely. “Follow your dreams!” was stamped with Memories black ink on white Kromecoat card stock which had been edged with a silver Krylon Leafing pen. Two pieces of silver ribbon, each approximately 6″ long, were tied in a square knot and the loose ends were trimmed and taped to the back of the white card stock. This piece was layered on black and white card stock. The embossed “Bold Block – Celestial Bunny” piece was mounted on the card with mounting tape. Card by Margaret Wiggin.
