Cupped Hands Holding Rose with a Stem

“Cupped Hands” is stamped with a black Memories pad on Ninja Confetti by Fox River Paper Co., colored with pencils, the hands cut out and the “cuff” edge torn. Glaze is put on the fingernails. “Rose with Stem” is embossed in gold on white card stock, colored with markers and cut out. A slit is cut between the two hands and the rose is slipped into the slit. The Cupped Hands and the Rose are foam mounted on a lavender piece of card stock which is layered on tan card stock, wall paper, tan card stock and a lavender card. Mimbreno Deer Hunter with Accent Stamps

“Mimbreno Deer Hunter” was embossed in gold on white card stock. A background was created by stamping in gold on purple card stock with “Sunburst, Sm.”, “Anasazi Dragonfly #2, Sm.”, “Return Symbol, Sm.”, “Mimbreno Dog #1″(Discontinued), and “Zuni Thunderstorm.” A strip of homemade paper was glued to the middle of the background piece and two feathers with yarn were glued to the band. The deer hunter was layered on gold card stock and glued to the strip and the background. This entire piece was layered on gold card stock and a purple card. Card by Judy Conklin.

Mimbreno Parrots Accented with Colorful Yarn

“Mimbreno Parrot #1” and “Mimbreno Parrot #2” were embossed in black, cut out and mounted on a background made by moistening a Melitta Coffee Filter and painting randomly with Shimmering Pearl (magenta & blue) paint. When dry, the filter was cut apart making two pieces. One piece was trimmed with decorative scissors and 3 turquoise snaps inserted. The background piece was glued to a turquoise card layered with black card stock and a multicolored eyelash yarn was tied around the card at the fold. Card by Judy Conklin.
