Mimbreno Katydid & Cricket

Stamps Galore’s “Mimbreno Katydid” and “Mimbreno Cricket” are stamped in black on green “Slab” scrapbook paper with white swirls. The turtle stamp is unknown. Small stamps are by Meer Image and “thanks for your kindness” is by Stampin’ Up! Card by Vi Fisher.

Old Saddle

“Old Saddle” is stamped with black Memories on white card stock and colored with several shades of tan colored pencils. This piece is trimmed with decorative scissors and layered on crimped tan card stock. That piece is layered on scrapbook paper, dark green card stock, tan card stock and dark grey card stock. Card is by Mary Connaway who, also, drew the saddle.

“Early California Saddle” is stamped with black Memories on white card stock and colored with silver and grey pencils. The white card stock is trimmed with deckle scissors and layered on silver scrapbook paper, blue card stock and yellow card stock. Card is by Mary Connaway who, also, drew the saddle.

“Fisherman in Stream, Sm.” was stamped with black Memories ink on Ivory card stock, colored with pencils, cut out and mounted on corrugated tan confetti card stock and layered on fish scrapbook paper, layered on tan, blue and darker tan card stock. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Furling Flag Background & Military Art Images

This card measures 9 1/2″ x 8″ overall. “Furling Flag Background” was stamped in brown Memories ink on scrapbook paper that has military emblems, etc. on it. “Eagle’s Head” is stamped on white card stock, colored with pencils, cut out and mounted on foam dots. The military scrapbook paper is layered on dotted burgundy paper and tan parchment. Card by Thalia Sledge.

Eagle’s Head & Eagle Superimposed Over Flag

“Eagle’s Head” was stamped in black Memories. It was colored with markers and pencils, cut out and Crystal Lacquer added to the eye. “Eagle, Sm.” was stamped in black and cut out. The flag was made with Marvy markers by drawing wavy red lines on white card stock and “Celebrate!” was stamped in black over it. Hand carved stars were embossed in white on blue card stock which was layered over the stripes. The two eagles were mounted with foam dots. The flag was mounted on “sky and clouds” paper and layered over black and white card stock. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Three Zuni Pots with Real Feathers

“Zuni Pot, Lg.” is stamped with a clear embossing pad on burgundy, tan and white card stock, embossed with Adirondack Embossing powders which are richly pigmented. Scrapbook paper is glued to burgundy card stock and the pots are cut out and glued to it with the feathers inserted into the top of the pots and glued behind them so as to appear to be in the pots. Holiday Season Card Using Two Golf Ball Santa Images

“Golf Ball Santa with Border” is stamped twice on white glossy card stock using a black Memories pad and both are colored with watercolor markers, coloring one hat red and one hat green. The border of the stamped image is removed with scissors. Diamond Glaze is applied to the golf ball area to give a raised and rounded look to the ball. White Liquid Applique is applied to the trim of the hats and tassels, then heated to puff. A little color is placed on the tassels to match the hats. Glue is applied to the trim on the hat and white flock is applied with tweezers. These two pieces are layered over scrapbook paper, then white and green card stock. Card by Thalia Sledge.

Easter Card Using Easter Egg Scene & Three Bunnies

“Easter Egg Scene” is stamped in black with a Memories pad and colored with pencils. Crystal lacquer is applied to some sections of the eggs. The scene is cut out and mounted on checkered scrapbook paper and layered on green and white card stock. “Three Bunnies, Lg.” is stamped in black and two of the bunnies are cut out and mounted in the lower right hand corner of the card. Mother’s Day Card Using Bouquet, Lg.

“Bouquet, Lg.” was stamped with a black Memories pad vertically and horizontally, colored with markers and cut out. Two additional daisies were stamped, colored and cut out. These cut-outs were assembled on a white card that has 1″ cut from the front. The cut edge is edged with a gold Krylon Leafing pen, and the flowers are glued on the card so that two of them overlap the cut edge. A polka dot piece of scrapbook paper is glued to the lower part of the inside of the card.  “Happy Mother’s Day” was stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder on the white card stock.
