“Navajo Blanket #1”, “Navajo Blanket #2”, “Navajo Blanket #3”, “Navajo Blanket #4”, “Navajo Blanket #5”, “Navajo Blanket #6”, “Navajo Blanket #7” and “Navajo Blanket #8” were stamped in various Kaleidocolor pads and solid colored pads of matching colors. Kaleidocolor confetti card stock was layered over sage green card stock. Removable double stick tape was placed on the back of each of the cut-out blankets so that they could be moved easily until I was satisfied with the overall design. Notice that the blankets are over some and under others and overlap the sage green layer. A raffia bow was added to the corner for an embellishment. Card by Margaret Wiggin.
“Navajo Design” is stamped with a rainbow pad on white card stock. A duplicate card of vellum is stamped in the rainbow pad with “Dream Catcher, Sm.”, “Kokopelli #8, Med.” and “Happy Birthday!”. The vellum is placed over the white card stock and small holes are punched at the top of the card so that the raffia can tie the two together. Card by Margaret Wiggin.
On white card stock, “Navajo Blanket #4” and “Navajo Blanket #5” were stamped in earth tones rainbow pad so that when the vellum is placed over it, the blankets will mutely show. They were masked to show one blanket in front of the other. On vellum, “Teepee, Lg.”, “Buffalo, Lg.”, “Ceremonial Pipe, Sm.” and “Happy Birthday” were stamped in black Memories and colored with pencils on the opposite side. The two layers are tied together with raffia and finished with a bow. Card by Margaret Wiggin.
“Tlingit Ceremonial Dress” is embossed in copper and colored with olive green and mustard markers on white card stock. The card is trimmed with deckle scissors and the border lines are a thin copper sticker strip. It is layered on copper glossy, and a raffia bow is added for an embellishment. Card by Margaret Wiggin.
“Southwest Border” is embossed in copper, colored and cut out, cut in half and mounted on a corrugated rectangle, layered on a turquoise rectangle and glued to a card that has the border embossed in copper and colored on the bottom. It is embellished with a raffia bow. Card by Mary Hansen.
“Pheasant” was stamped on white card stock with a black Memories ink pad and colored with pencils. This piece was layered on brown and white card stock. Green and natural raffia were placed on the lower part of the card partly under a piece of hand made paper. Card by Mary Connaway who also drew the image.
“Four Bees”, “Lamb #2, Lg.”, “Easel” and “Letters are Visits…” are stamped in brown Memories ink on gray hand made paper and the four bees are colored with pencils. “Bees and Hive” is stamped in brown Memories ink on tan card stock and colored with pencils. Embellishments of woven background mesh, a button and a raffia bow are added and card stock pieces are layered as seen here. Card by Thalia Sledge.
“Bird on Branch” is stamped on vellum with black Memories and colored on the opposite side with pencils. Only the leaf of this stamp is inked and stamped on three sides to form a border and is colored on the opposite side with pencils. The vellum is placed over white card stock and tied with raffia ribbon. Card by Margaret Wiggin
