Mimbreno Deer Hunter with Accent Stamps

“Mimbreno Deer Hunter” was embossed in gold on white card stock. A background was created by stamping in gold on purple card stock with “Sunburst, Sm.”, “Anasazi Dragonfly #2, Sm.”, “Return Symbol, Sm.”, “Mimbreno Dog #1″(Discontinued), and “Zuni Thunderstorm.” A strip of homemade paper was glued to the middle of the background piece and two feathers with yarn were glued to the band. The deer hunter was layered on gold card stock and glued to the strip and the background. This entire piece was layered on gold card stock and a purple card. Card by Judy Conklin.

Mimbreno Possums Card Using Coffee Filter

“Mimbreno Possums” was embossed in black on an eight sided piece of white card stock. The piece was edged with a gold Krylon Leafing pen and glued to a background made by moistening a Melitta Coffee Filter and painting it with orange and metallic gold acrylic paint . These two pieces were layered over handmade white paper and a background made by stamping “Mimbreno Swallows” in gold on black paper. This was layered on tan confetti card stock. Mimbreno Parrots Accented with Colorful Yarn

“Mimbreno Parrot #1” and “Mimbreno Parrot #2” were embossed in black, cut out and mounted on a background made by moistening a Melitta Coffee Filter and painting randomly with Shimmering Pearl (magenta & blue) paint. When dry, the filter was cut apart making two pieces. One piece was trimmed with decorative scissors and 3 turquoise snaps inserted. The background piece was glued to a turquoise card layered with black card stock and a multicolored eyelash yarn was tied around the card at the fold. Card by Judy Conklin.

Mother’s Day Card Using Bouquet, Lg.

“Bouquet, Lg.” was stamped with a black Memories pad vertically and horizontally, colored with markers and cut out. Two additional daisies were stamped, colored and cut out. These cut-outs were assembled on a white card that has 1″ cut from the front. The cut edge is edged with a gold Krylon Leafing pen, and the flowers are glued on the card so that two of them overlap the cut edge. A polka dot piece of scrapbook paper is glued to the lower part of the inside of the card.  “Happy Mother’s Day” was stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder on the white card stock. Vellum Celestial Bunny

“Bold Block – Celestial Bunny” was stamped in blue on vellum and trimmed with deckle scissors leaving enough vellum on both sides so that eyelets could be used to attach the vellum to the card. Strips of three different blue card stock were attached with glue, then the vellum cut-out was secured with eyelets. The saying, “Take time to enjoy the special things in life” was computer generated, trimmed with decorative scissors and layered over a blue piece of card stock cut just a little larger. The edge of the white card stock was edged with a blue marker and layered on dark blue card stock. Card by Judy Conklin.

Just a Note with Iris Stamp

“Iris” is black embossed, colored with markers and brushed with Pearl Ex Violet Interference. “Just a Note” is black embossed and cut into a rectangle with decorative scissors. It is layered on black and purple card stock with a strip of scrap book paper under both images. Card by Judy Conklin.
