Stamps Galore’s “Mimbreno Turtle #1” is stamped in black on white card stock, cut out and mounted with foam on background paper which has been created by enhancing “Slab” background paper with the following stamps: crooked star by Portfollio, frog and tiny circle by Meer Image, Large concho by Comotion, tiny deer and cave man by Uptown, Sienna figures are by PSX, Words by Stampin’ Up! and lizzard by an unknown company. “Sailing with Border” is stamped on grey card stock with Brilliance Mediterranean Blue ink and colored with oil color pencils. It is trimmed with deckle scissors and layered over a deckle cut piece of metallic blue card stock. This is layered onto background card stock which was created by randomly stamping “Starfish #1” in Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue ink and “Sand Dollar” in Mediterranean Blue. This was layered on an 8 1/2″ x 11″ Dark blue Confetti card stock folded in half. As a last step, several other “Starfish” and “Sand Dollars” were stamped on grey card stock, cut out and mounted with cushion on the card randomly being placed where they would overlap borders. “Pine Forest” was stamped twice leaving a little space between to give the illusion of a path. “Moose Silhouette” was stamped in Memories black in the lower part of the card. “Tree Trunk” was stamped in black Memories, colored, cut out and placed on the card with foam dots. All coloring was done with chalks and sprayed with a fixative. Card by Margaret Wiggin.
“Sunset Picnic with Border” is stamped on white card stock, colored with oil color pencils and cut out discarding the top and sides of the frame. This is layered over a red piece of paper cut about 1/4″ larger to form a border and is layered on brown parchment card stock and red card stock which has been edged with a Krylon silver Leafing pen. “Rosemary Topiary” is stamped twice on white card stock, colored with oil color pencils, cut out and foam mounted on both sides of the scene. “Narrow Butte, Sm.” and “Kneeling Nun, Sm.” (retired stamp, email for availability) were stamped on cinnamon colored card stock and colored with chalks. The sky was chalked also and the card was sprayed with a sealer. “Prickly Pear, Med.” was stamped three times on glossy white card stock, colored with pencils, cut out and mounted with double stick tape at three levels so as to be in front of the Kneeling Nun stamp giving depth perception. On brown card stock, two “Zuni Pot, Lg.” and two “Zuni Pot, Sm.” are stamped and embossed with Desert Sand embossing powder, cut out and mounted on foam dots at the lower part of the card. The card is cut with deckle scissors and layered on yellow card stock cut with deckle scissors, then layered on black card stock. Card by Margaret Wiggin.
“Bear on Ledge, Lg.” and “Mountain Scene” were embossed in black on watercolor paper and colored with watercolors. The mountain scene is layered on brown, black and grey card stock. The bear and ledge are cut out and mounted over the picture with foam dots as well as over the brown layer. Card by Anaka Kagen.
Stamps used are, “Margaret’s Frog on Lily Pad”, “Frog on Lily Pad, Sm.”, “Dinner in Sight, Sm.”, “Cattails”, “Swamp Grass”, “Tall Grass, Lg.”, “Leafy Plant”, “Rocks & Grass”, “Large Brownie Rock”, “Lily Pad Flower”, “Lily Pad #1”, “Four Brownie Cattails”, “Lily Pond”, ” Ivy”, “Lily Pad.” White card stock was stamped with black Memories ink and colored with pencils. “Margaret’s Frog on Lily Pad” was cut out and mounted with foam dots. “Covered Bridge, Sm.” and “Oak Tree, Lg.” are stamped with a black Memories pad on white card stock and colored with chalks. The covered bridge is cut in a rectangle to include the sky while the oak tree is trimmed closely. The covered bridge is layered on dark green card stock set to the left. The oak tree is mounted with foam dots and covers both the green layer and the scene. The final layer is ivory parchment card stock. Card by Anaka Kagen.
Stamps used are “Caribou, Lg.”, “Rocks & Grass”, “Large Brownie Rock” and “Pine Silhouette.” The clouds are sponged using a stencil. The caribou is stamped once on ivory card stock, then stamped again, cut out (except for the antlers) and mounted with foam tabs to give a 3-D effect. The images are stamped in color and colored with pencils. The card is edged with a gold Krylon Leafing pen and layered on green card stock and confetti card stock. Card by Mary Hansen.
Stamps used are “Eskimo Child”, “Uneven Ground/Snowdrifts” and “Pine Silhouette.” The pine trees are stamped alternately without re-inking on ivory card stock to give the illusion of seeing them in the distance through the fog. The Eskimo child is stamped once on the card, then again, cut out and mounted with foam tabs to give a 3-D effect. The images are stamped in color and colored with pencils.
