Fruit Jar with Lid, Bouquet & “Just a Note”

“Fruit Jar with Lid” and “Bouquet, Sm.” were stamped on white card stock, colored with chalk and pencils and cut out. “Just a Note” was embossed in black on a piece of vellum cut in a rectangle and then mounted on a rectangle with rounded corners cut from lavender card stock. The jar and, “Just a Note” were glued to the yellow card stock and the bouquet was mounted on foam dots. Card by Anaka Kagen.

Variety of Background Stamps Combined to Make Card

Background stamps, “Flower Word Background”; “Musical Notes Background #2”; “Swirls & Dots Background” and “Starburst Background” were stamped on a variety of colors of card stock and embossed with a variety of colors of embossing powders, then cut into strips about 1″ wide and glued to white card stock. This piece was layered on purple deckle edged background card stock. “Smile! and the whole world…” was stamped on off white card stock with black ink, cut out, glued to rectangles of yellow and navy blue deckle edged card stock. then glued to the background of “strips.” Card by Davetta Alexander.

Manfred Mantis with Electric Guitar, Lg.

“Manfred with Electric Guitar, Lg.” was stamped in black Memories on green card stock, cut out and glued to “Musical Notes” which was stamped on off white card stock by inking with markers and trimming with deckle scissors. This was glued to “Musical Notes Background #2” which was stamped in black on off-white card stock and embellished with the “direct to paper technique” using purple and red pads, then trimmed with deckle scissors. These pieces were glued to “Starburst Background” which was embossed in red on off white card stock and layered on purple card stock. “Easel” and “You’re a Star!” were stamped on shrink plastic, colored with oil color pencils, shrunk, glued to each other and mounted on the right corner of the card. Five Manfred Mantis Images

“Swirls & Dots Background” is embossed on a variety of colored card stock with a variety of embossing powders, cut into strips, glued over black card stock as shown and layered on ivory card stock. The following five images from the Manfred Mantis series are stamped in black on green card stock, cut out and mounted in five of the black blocks:  “Manfred with Electric Guitar, Sm.”; “Manfred on Bass, Sm.”; “Manfred with Guitar, Sm.”; “Manfred on Drums, Sm.”; “Manfred on Keyboard, Sm.” “Have a Love Filled Day!” is stamped on ivory card stock, cut out and glued to the card covering a strip and one black block. Rose Fan, Lg. in Shades of Purple

“Rose Fan, Lg.” was embossed with purple and colored with markers in shades of coral, purple and autumn orange. A ribbon was tied for the handle. “Happy Birthday” was stamped on white card stock using a lavender Encore pad. A gold metallic pen was used to highlight the roses and the edge of the fan. The fan was cut out and mounted with foam dots to the white card stock on which “Happy Birthday” had been stamped. Rose Fan in Silver and Black

“Rose Fan, Lg.” is silver embossed on black card stock and cut out. Triangular corners are cut out of black card stock and silver embossed as shown with “Carved Rose.” The black triangles are glued to the silver card stock so that a center strip of the silver card stock shows. The cut out fan is adhered to all three pieces. The outside edges of the card are edged with a silver Krylon Leafing pen. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Bold Block – Love Hand with Love & Peace Stamps

“Bold Block – Love Hand” is stamped on polymer clay, baked and painted (the two outside blocks). The center block is stamped on card stock, colored with markers and has a rhinestone glued to it. The word stamps, “Love” and “Peace” (a discontinued stamp; e-mail for availability) are stamped with a Rocket Red Brilliance pad, embossed with red embossing powder and cut with deckle edged scissors, then edged with a gold Krylon Leafing pen. Starburst Background with Love Stamps Accent

“Love” is gold embossed three times on a rectangular piece of kaleidoscope confetti card stock which has been edged with a gold Krylon Leafing pen. “Bold Block – Love Hand” is gold embossed on black card stock, cut out and placed on a second rectangular piece of kaleidoscope confetti card stock which has also been edged with gold and the “Love” stamp embossed in gold. These two pieces are layered over a black piece of card stock which has been embossed in gold using “Starburst Background.” Gold glitter glue is applied in the center of each star, on the fingernails of the hand, at the base of the heart, and in the corners of the Love Hand image. The black card is edged with gold and layered over four layers of card stock in the following order: (1) white, (2) gold, (3) ivory and (4) rust. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Leaf Background with Leaf #1 Accent

“Leaf Background” was embossed in white on rust confetti card stock. “Leaf #1” was inked with a brown Marvy marker inking only part of the stamp, stamped twice and cut out. “Hello” was embossed in white on rust confetti card stock which was layered on white card stock, then layered on the embossed background and on a white card. The two cut out leaves were then attached to the card as shown. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Cupped Hands Holding Rose with a Stem

“Cupped Hands” is stamped with a black Memories pad on Ninja Confetti by Fox River Paper Co., colored with pencils, the hands cut out and the “cuff” edge torn. Glaze is put on the fingernails. “Rose with Stem” is embossed in gold on white card stock, colored with markers and cut out. A slit is cut between the two hands and the rose is slipped into the slit. The Cupped Hands and the Rose are foam mounted on a lavender piece of card stock which is layered on tan card stock, wall paper, tan card stock and a lavender card.
