Rose Fan, Lg. Embossed in White on Vellum

“Rose Fan, Lg.” is embossed in white on the vellum which is cut smaller than the turquoise card stock. “Carved Rose” is embossed on the folded back corner and on the inside lower right corner of the card. Holes are punched through the vellum and card stock and a ribbon is tied in a bow to hold the two together. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Eight Navajo Blankets

“Navajo Blanket #1”, “Navajo Blanket #2”, “Navajo Blanket #3”, “Navajo Blanket #4”, “Navajo Blanket #5”, “Navajo Blanket #6”, “Navajo Blanket #7” and “Navajo Blanket #8” were stamped in various Kaleidocolor pads and solid colored pads of matching colors. Kaleidocolor confetti card stock was layered over sage green card stock. Removable double stick tape was placed on the back of each of the cut-out blankets so that they could be moved easily until I was satisfied with the overall design. Notice that the blankets are over some and under others and overlap the sage green layer. A raffia bow was added to the corner for an embellishment. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Navajo Design, Dream Catcher and Kokopelli

“Navajo Design” is stamped with a rainbow pad on white card stock. A duplicate card of vellum is stamped in the rainbow pad with “Dream Catcher, Sm.”, “Kokopelli #8, Med.” and “Happy Birthday!”. The vellum is placed over the white card stock and small holes are punched at the top of the card so that the raffia can tie the two together. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Happy Birthday Card with Teepee & Buffalo

On white card stock, “Navajo Blanket #4” and “Navajo Blanket #5” were stamped in earth tones rainbow pad so that when the vellum is placed over it, the blankets will mutely show. They were masked to show one blanket in front of the other. On vellum, “Teepee, Lg.”, “Buffalo, Lg.”, “Ceremonial Pipe, Sm.” and “Happy Birthday” were stamped in black Memories and colored with pencils on the opposite side. The two layers are tied together with raffia and finished with a bow. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Tlingit Ceremonial Dress

“Tlingit Ceremonial Dress” is embossed in copper and colored with olive green and mustard markers on white card stock. The card is trimmed with deckle scissors and the border lines are a thin copper sticker strip. It is layered on copper glossy, and a raffia bow is added for an embellishment. Southwest Border Stamped Multiple Times

“Southwest Border” is embossed in copper, colored and cut out, cut in half and mounted on a corrugated rectangle, layered on a turquoise rectangle and glued to a card that has the border embossed in copper and colored on the bottom. It is embellished with a raffia bow. Card by Mary Hansen.

Holiday Season Collage Card

The background paper was created by stamping “Musical Notes Background #1” and “Line Art Holly, Sm.” several times with a black memories pad on tan parchment card stock, coloring the holly berries and leaves with a watercolor pencil and brushing with a wet brush. Two sets of “Holly Sprig, Med.” were stamped with green ink, cut out and attached in the upper left corner. “Modern Christmas Tree” was embossed in black and colored with watercolors. The edges were torn and colored with a gold marker. This piece was layered on a torn piece of cranberry colored handmade paper and both were layered on the background. The background was layered on gold green card stock. A red bow with gold holly leaves and berries was added to the upper left corner for an accent. Card by Anaka Kagen.

Holiday Season Card Using Winter Cabin Embossed in Silver

“Winter Cabin” is embossed in silver on dark blue matte card stock. The edge of the blue card stock is edged with a silver Krylon Leafing pen and a silver cord is wrapped around two corners and tied with a bow. This is layered on ivory card stock. Card by Linda Gordon.

Holiday Season Card Using Velvet and Winter Cabin

“Winter Cabin” is embossed with an iron on wine velvet and framed in white sparkle, black and silver card stock layered to form a frame. The inside and outside edges of the white card stock are embellished with a silver Krylon Leafing pen. A bow is added for accent. Holiday Season Card Using Snowflake Stamps

“Snowflake Background” is stamped with an Ultramarine Blue Vivid dye pad on Bristol white card stock which is glued to dark blue card stock. A narrow (1 1/4″) piece of light blue card stock with one edge cut with deckle scissors is sponged with the Vivid dye ink, repeat stamped three times with a single snowflake taken from the background stamp and glued on the left side of the dark blue card stock. Three snowflakes are inked with a marker and stamped inside “Southwest Frame, Sm.”¬† The frame is trimmed and¬†layered over dark blue card stock and glued to the card as though snowflakes were falling.
