The stamp used for this card was 237-U, “Windmill Scene” which includes all the images except the tall grass on both sides of the card which was created using the encaustic wax painting technique. Card by Barbara Gibbons.

Much has happened in my life since the passing of my mother approximately one year ago. My how recent her passing seems! After she passed at the age of 101 and 7 months, I remained in Coos Bay, Oregon for six months and, with the help of a handyman, I upgraded my Oregon home to the level that I thought would sell it when I put it on the real estate market. I either figured that “one” correctly, or I was extremely lucky. For whatever reasons, my house was in escrow three days after listing it. I had been planning a visit to my daughter’s as soon as I felt it would be practical to make the trip so off I went to Idaho just days after listing my property. One of my daughter’s friends, a realtor in North Idaho, had been telling my daughter and son-in-law that she had the perfect house for me. To make a long story short, I have been the owner of that house since October 3, 2011, and I absolutely love living in North Idaho! I’ve been seeing my daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, and grandson and his wife most every week. My “new” home is less than two miles from my daughter’s home which makes me feel very comfortable about moving here as I know I have strong family support “just a holler away.” As those of you who know me are aware, family is the most important thing in my life so…
I have some logistics to figure out regarding my business as the majority of my inventory is at my California home. That is why I am only able to offer unmounted Brownies at the present time. I do plan to eventually move my inventory to Idaho, soon I hope, but I don’t know just when or how. I will notify those on my mailing list when I have the rest of my inventory here in Idaho. New Chapter of My Life

For 5 ½ years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for my mother in her home in Coos Bay, Oregon. I so appreciate that she allowed me to do so. Together we reached our goal of keeping her in her home until she passed away at the age of 101 and 7 months. Hospice was a tremendous help and gave us support for a year and 5 months. At 100, she had met her goal, but continued to have relatively good health up until the last few months of her life even though she had been diagnosed with metastatic cancer of unknown origin when Hospice came on board.

I want to share with you what my granddaughter Bailey wrote on Facebook about her Great Grandmother:
“My 101 year old Great Grandmother is no longer with us. She is one of the strongest women I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She has taught me so much through her life about standing up for what you believe in, who you believe in, and why you believe. I have her mind in many ways which is a blessing and a curse. I mean to say, she had enough “head strong mentality” to filter through four generations and look how much is still left in me so you can only imagine what she was like! I feel so blessed to have such an incredible woman in my life to learn from. Thank you for being a fighter at heart and in shaping me mentally. I AM because of you, Grandma Busby. Thank you for your love, your life, and your lessons; I love you so much. “May you Rest in Peace.”

I never realized Bailey felt that way about her Great Grandmother. It warmed my heart to see that she had posted a picture on her Facebook of our four generations accompanied by her statement regarding how she felt about her Great Grandmother. Here is a picture of the four generations:
