Hopi Kachina Dancers #2 and #3

“Hopi Kachina Dancer #2” and  “Hopi Kachina Dancer #3” are stamped on matte coated card stock and colored with markers. A desert scene is printed onto paper, trimmed and layered onto Genesis Fossil card stock and Genesis Cypress card stock. Holes are punched through the card and dancers, then attached to the card with a brass brad. The card is made by Wendy Kerr.

Native American Dancer # 1

“Native American Dancer #1” is stamped on white card stock, colored with pencils, cut out and attached to a piece of brown handmade paper which has been water torn on the edges. A piece of Urban Metal (gold) paper is layered on black card stock and the stamped piece is then layered on the Urban Metal paper. Eyelets, fiber and beads are attached as shown. The card is made by Wendy Kerr.

Southwest Indian Blanket with Zuni Pot

“Zuni Pot, Lg.” is stamped in medium blue on white card stock and cut out. The center is colored with a colored pencil. The “cut out” is layered on med. blue and navy blue card stock that has been trimmed with deckle scissors. “Navajo Blanket, Lg.” is stamped on white card stock. The centers of the design are colored darker blue with a marker. This is edged with a med blue marker and layered on medium blue and navy blue card stock. Card by Davetta Alexander.

Happy Birthday Card with Teepee & Buffalo

On white card stock, “Navajo Blanket #4” and “Navajo Blanket #5” were stamped in earth tones rainbow pad so that when the vellum is placed over it, the blankets will mutely show. They were masked to show one blanket in front of the other. On vellum, “Teepee, Lg.”, “Buffalo, Lg.”, “Ceremonial Pipe, Sm.” and “Happy Birthday” were stamped in black Memories and colored with pencils on the opposite side. The two layers are tied together with raffia and finished with a bow. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Three Zuni Pots with Real Feathers

“Zuni Pot, Lg.” is stamped with a clear embossing pad on burgundy, tan and white card stock, embossed with Adirondack Embossing powders which are richly pigmented. Scrapbook paper is glued to burgundy card stock and the pots are cut out and glued to it with the feathers inserted into the top of the pots and glued behind them so as to appear to be in the pots. Four silver buttons are glued on the scrapbook paper. Card by Patty Tamler.

Feather Stamp Used with Conch and Real Feathers

“Beaded Feather, Sm.” is stamped four different times on ivory parchment card stock (speckled with orange ink) and the stamped feathers are embossed with copper. Real feathers are glued under a copper conch. The conch was painted copper with a Krylon Leafing pen. The corners of the card are rounded with a corner punch. Card by Mary Hansen.

Tlingit Ceremonial Dress

“Tlingit Ceremonial Dress” is embossed in copper and colored with olive green and mustard markers on white card stock. The card is trimmed with deckle scissors and the border lines are a thin copper sticker strip. It is layered on copper glossy, and a raffia bow is added for an embellishment. Kokopelli #8, Lg.

“Kokopelli #8, Lg.” was stamped with black Memories ink on gray card stock and colored with the copper Krylon Leafing pen so as to give a hammered look. Glitter was applied to his hair. The card is trimmed with deckle scissors and layered on black glossy cut with deckle scissors. The final layer is copper glossy card stock. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Zuni Pot & Southwest Frame

“Zuni Pot, Lg.” is stamped with Memories ink on a thin sheet of copper metal and cut out. A round tipped stylus is used to give a hammered look. The pot is mounted with foam dots onto tan Confetti card stock stamped in black Memories ink with “Frame #16, Southwest, Bold, Lg.” and trimmed with deckle scissors. Both are layered on rust Confetti card stock which is trimmed with deckle scissors. The final layer is white card stock. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Southwest Border Stamped Multiple Times

“Southwest Border” is embossed in copper, colored and cut out, cut in half and mounted on a corrugated rectangle, layered on a turquoise rectangle and glued to a card that has the border embossed in copper and colored on the bottom. It is embellished with a raffia bow. Card by Mary Hansen.
