Hello Using Mimbreno Parrots

“Mimbreno Parrot #1”, “Mimbreno Parrot #2”, “Hello #1, Lg.” and “Hello #2, Sm.” are embossed in copper on white card stock as shown which is corner punched and copper yarn is strung from corner to corner and taped in the back. The punch used was the photograph punch and the tabs to hold the yarn were cut with scissors. The white stamped card is layered on black, copper and white card stock. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Gecko, Lg. Dry Embossed on Metal

Lightweight craft metal is cut to the desired size and “Gecko, Lg.” is stamped in black die ink and dry embossed with paper towels placed under the metal for cushioning. The metal piece is turned over and the image is “rounded” with a wooden dry embossing tool. Red from a rub-on kit is rubbed on the image and wiped off so that some of the red stays in the lines. Lines are dry embossed for a border. A piece of blue Confetti card stock is edged with a gold Krylon Leafing pen and glued to white card stock. The metal piece is adhered with gold photo corners. “Many Thanks!” is embossed in gold on a rectangle of blue card stock that has been edged with the gold pen. Zuni Bear Fetish, Large & Small

“Zuni Bear Fetish, Lg.” and “Sunburst, Lg.” are embossed in silver on rust confetti card stock. “Sunburst, Sm.” is embossed in silver on a formica tag. “Zuni Bear Fetish, Sm.” and “Southwest Frame, Med.” are embossed in silver on a rust confetti card stock rectangle trimmed with deckle scissors. This rectangle is layered on the formica tag. Glass beads are attached to the card stock at the hole in the formica tag. The last bead is a cut and polished rock bear. Card by Margaret Wiggin.

Native American Dancer #2 with Bold Blocks – Sunburst Background

“Native American Dancer #2” is stamped on white card stock with black ink, colored with pencils and cut out. This is layered on an asymmetrically cut black card stock piece which is then layered over turquoise/gold  card stock and a layer of gold card stock. This piece is layered on a card size piece of black card stock which has been stamped and embossed in gold six times with “Bold Block, Blazing Sun.” Card by Wendy Kerr.

Gecko,Lg. is Mounted on a Navajo Blanket Background

“Navajo Blanket, Lg.” is stamped with black permanent ink on acetate and glittered from behind, then attached to black card stock. “Gecko, Lg.” is stamped with black permanent ink on acetate, glittered from behind, cut out and mounted on a white piece of card stock cut just a little larger than the gecko so as to set it apart from the background, then attached to the background. Native American Dancer #1 with Background of Zuni Pots

“Native American Dancer #1” is embossed in black on white card stock, colored with markers and cut out leaving some of the white as background. Background card stock is created by repeatedly and randomly stamping “Zuni Pot, Lg.” on tan card stock using a Versamark pad and rubbing on a couple of colors of Pearl Ex. Fiber is stretched to form a border by attaching it to notches in each corner. The notches are made using a corner punch. Four of the Navajo designs are cut from gold embossed on white card stock and placed in the corners. This is layered on maroon card stock which has been bordered with “Southwest Border” embossed in black on tan card stock. Card by Davetta Alexander.

Navajo Design with Feather Embellishment

“Navajo Design” was embossed in copper on black card stock, cut out and a feather was inserted into the center of the design. The Navajo design and the feather were mounted over a strip of copper crinkle paper which was glued on black textured paper and layered over rust confetti cover. Card by Pam Brown.

Gecko, Lg. & Friends

“Gecko, Lg.” is stamped and copper embossed once and Verdigris embossed as a second image on sage colored card stock. Miniature red rhinestones are glued for eyes and the stamp,  “Friends!” is stamped and copper embossed between the two geckos. The card is layered on glossy copper card stock. Card by Mary Hansen.
