A Fisherperson’s Dream

Stamps used are “Rainbow & Brown Trout”, “Brook & Cutthroat Trout”, and “Frame #10, Fishing Poles”. All were stamped on 140 lb. weight watercolor paper and were inked by coloring directly on the stamp with a brown Marvy Marker. The color on the fish pole frame was drawn out with a fine-pointed soft bristle paint brush dipped in water. Color from Marvy Markers were rubbed on a plastic coated paper plate and used as a palette to color the fish and the blue background behind the fish inside the fishing pole frame. The finished watercolor paper was layered over tan and green card stock to frame the card. The absolute two “MUSTS” for this watercolor technique are to use 140 pound watercolor paper and a #45 Sepia (brown) Marvy Marker for your brown. Card by Lisa Haan.
